Family Vacation - Part 1

We have had an awesome, relaxing week in San Antonio! After church last Sunday, we headed out after a few last minute "mishaps" (let's just say that me and the garage door do not get along) and drove to Waco that evening. Madi was an excellent traveler! We brought along Gran and Gramp's portable DVD player, and that helped out tremendously! After a good night's rest, we headed Monday morning to a WONDERFUl children's museum on Baylor's campus. I just happened to read another blogger's blog last week that mentioned taking her children to this museum, so we decided to check it out. It was a fairly cheap outing and was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!
Madi is ready to play!
The skull of a whale...amazing!

Watching the trains...what fun!
Loved crawling through the tunnel!
Driving the firetruck

An awesome kid's room to play in!

Checkin' out some fish and other water creatures

Of course, we loved seeing "El-wo" as Madi calls him!

Ride a lil' horsie...

Tea time!

Daddy and Mommy being silly!

Our future musician (just not on the drums hopefully!)
Playing the big piano

The museum wore her out!

After the museum, we headed to San Antonio (by way of a couple of outlet stores :) ). On Tuesday, we just hung around the hotel for a little while and swam in the pool. We loved our accommodations, and they had a great pool just perfect for Madi to play in!

We also did some of this after all of our traveling!
That evening we got ready and headed to the Riverwalk to go to the Rainforest Cafe. Here's a family shot before we headed out.

We walked the Riverwalk a little after we ate.
Little girl loves some chocolate ice cream!
Lovin' on her new monkey.
I'll post more pics later from Sea World and the rest of our week. We have had a blast!
