Oxford has many exciting things going on for Independence Day, and we were excited to spend our 1st Fourth of July here!
We began the day with a little firework painting...
and after naps, we got ready to head to the festivities on the Grove!
| Aren't our kiddos the most precious?!?! |
| Our gang in our red, white, and blue! |
We met up with our friends and neighbors, the Howells, to enjoy everything with them. It was so much fun!
| Little man chillin' in his stroller. He was content...for a little while! :) |
| Madi loved the bounce houses with slides! |
| A picture of the Grove with the Ole Miss band playing! |
The petting zoo at the festival was a big hit! Here are the turtle races...
| Madi petting a lamb |
| and Pedro, the donkey |
| Checking out the llama! |
Madi and Ashlyn then wanted to ride the train. They were such big girls riding it all by themselves!
After our fun at the festival, we then headed home to grill chicken kabobs and hot dogs! We had the Howells over for dinner, and we enjoyed visiting with them so much! Of course, I was too busy playing hostess to get any pictures.
After sundown, we headed back to Ole Miss for the fireworks over the baseball field. They were awesome and the kids loved it!
| Micah was mesmerized... |
| Madi was too! (And I got some good cuddles from her, which are rare these days!) |
| This doesn't even begin to do the fireworks justice. They were really good! |
We had such a fun fourth with our little family! We are so thankful for the sacrifices so many men and women have made for us to have the freedom that we enjoy!
