Easter 2012

We had a great first Easter this year as a family of four! We started out our fun on Friday by dying Easter eggs. It took Madi and me ALL DAY to get them done between Micah's naps and feedings, but Madi was so patient and sweet through the whole process.

When Andy got home that evening, we hunted Easter eggs for a few minutes outside. She was such a good "hunter"!

Then, on Saturday, Jody, Janee, and Brailyn came down for a visit. Our Easter play at the church was that afternoon, so they went to that and then came over to let the girls hunt Easter eggs and to "love" on Micah! :)

Of course, big sister couldn't be outdone, so she had to have a turn! :)

Aunt Janee got quite a bit of lovin' from Micah that day too! Too bad he slept through the whole visit! :)

After our fun on Saturday, we got up Sunday morning to find the goodies that the Easter bunny had left. Madi was excited to see the baskets, but the first thing she did was go through all of Micah's treats and show them to us. What a good big sister!

She then dug into her own basket!

Before church, we took some time to tell Madi the Easter story using the Resurrection eggs. She absolutely loves hearing and helping tell the story!

After church, we had both sets of grandparents, Mammaw, and Caleb over for a big Easter lunch. Of course, I was too busy to get any pictures of everybody except this one. :) Micah really enjoyed his nap with his Papa Dale!
We all went to the Easter production at church that evening. Micah did great for his first time in church...he didn't make a peep!
We really enjoyed all of our fun time with our families at Easter, and we look forward to many more special times with them!
