An Arkansas Christmas - Part 1

 

Our plans were to head to Arkansas on Tuesday, December 18th, but after waking up Saturday morning, the 15th and realizing we really wanted to see our families, we took off to Arkansas a few days early!  Very spontaneous and uncharacteristic of us!  :)

 

We decided to head to Prescott first, and after a LONG day of traveling, we arrived there late Saturday night.  We went to church Sunday morning and had to get a cute picture of cousins/best friends!

 We headed to Pine Bluff on Monday to begin the fun with my family.  Andy and I left on Wednesday for a little get-away to Branson for our anniversary.  We had such a fun time but really didn't get any pictures!  :(  I have to say a BIG thank-you to my sweet Mammaw and my mom and dad for taking such great care of the kids for us!

My brother came to PB on Saturday, and Madi and Uncle Josh had fun building a stable for the horses with her new Lincoln Logs from Mammaw!

 Saturday night we got together with our life-long family friends, the Craigs.  We have gotten together with them every Christmas since I can remember.  This is all of us kiddos!  We were trying to "recreate" a picture from when Caleb, Dalton, and Madison were babies, but for some reason they wouldn't sit in our laps now!  :)

 Gran's tree was covered with presents just waiting to be opened! (And Uncle Caleb is such a dork...HA!)

 This has to be the funniest gift!  Josh (not much of a shopper at all) got Madi a very cute African-American baby doll!  He said he was just looking at the cute outfit it had on and didn't pay attention to the skin color!  It's Madi's favorite toy!

 Micah napped while we opened ours, but then he had his shining moment when he awoke.  He loved all of his gifts too!

 Later on that evening, both of the kiddos played quietly with their new toys!

 This has to be one of my favorite pictures so far!  I  LOVE his big smile!  He got so excited about the train Gran and Gramps got him!

We had such a special Christmas with my family!  We headed home on Christmas Eve so we could wake up in our house on Christmas morning.  Of course, we missed out on the White Christmas that everybody got in Arkansas, but oh well...we had our own kind of fun in our home in MS!  More to come...
