More Christmas Fun!

 

We are LOVING having our Daddy/hubby at home right now!  We took off Tuesday to have a fun day in Memphis doing some of our favorite Christmas traditions! 

We headed to Wolfchase Mall to see Santa.  Madi was so excited about seeing him until we actually got close to him.  Then she became really shy!  She sat on his leg but wouldn't talk much to him or look at him at all.  This picture cracks me up!

Then it was Micah's turn!  We sat him in Santa's lap, and he turned around and really checked him out!  I love this precious pic!

He really didn't mind hanging out with Santa at all!  Pretty cute!

We then headed to Build-a-Bear to create our Christmas stuffed animal!  We started this during Madi's first Christmas, and we've made it a tradition every year.  This year Madi told me she wanted to make a teddy bear, and with as many stuffed animals as the girl has, she didn't have a teddy bear, so I told her that was a great idea!  She and Daddy were scoping them all out...

 and she settled on a hot pink bear!

 We then stopped at the train rides to let the kids have fun!  It amazes me how boys know exactly what to do with a steering wheel or anything car related...he had a blast!

We then did a little shopping, and we made a promise to Madi that if she was a good shopper, we would take her to ride the carousel before we left the mall.  Well, we completely forgot about our promise and headed out of the mall to eat at On The Border.  As we were finishing up our meal, Madi suddenly got teary-eyed and said, "Mommy, Daddy, we forgot to ride the carousel!"  Andy and I looked at each other and tried to bribe her with a toy from Kohl's instead of riding the carousel, but she was insistent that she HAD to ride!  So...we made a quick trip back to the mall to ride it.  Can't break a promise!  :)

 We had a super-fun day as a family doing our favorite Christmas traditions!  Making memories is the best!
