Our 1st Christmas...

 

as a family of four and in our new home in Mississippi!

 

We began Christmas Eve by letting Madi and Micah open one present...the Jesus Storybook Bible.

 

 Daddy then read them the Christmas story from it. (And by the way, my heart just melts at the love my husband has for his children and his Savior...he cried pretty much all the way through the story)

 After talking about the real meaning of Christmas, we then got things ready for another fun part...Santa!  We were out of cookies and I hadn't thought to plan ahead and have cookie dough ready, so Santa got some Cheez-its and some milk.  :)

 The kiddos FINALLY fell asleep and Santa came!

 Madi's goodies...a Strawberry Shortcake market, two princess baby dolls, and an alphabet game.

 Micah's treasures...a Fisher Price zoo, stackable cups, and a couple of small toys.

 Little Miss Madi was SOOO excited about Christmas that she woke up at 6:45!  When I went in her room, she was ready to go!  Micah had had a rough night, but we decided to go ahead and wake him because there was no way that little girl was going to wait!  :) Thankfully he was in a great mood too.

 Then it was time for presents from Mommy and Daddy.  Micah got a cool walker/activity toy.

 Christmas evening, Madi and I had a "girl's night" where we painted our toes and fingernails, put on make-up, and played dress-up!

She loved putting make-up on her mommy!

 followed by Snow White (and a few other princesses, too)! 

We really had a great Christmas Day!  It was a little different being away from our family (and them getting a white Christmas in AR!), but we made memories and enjoyed the day together.  We will be headed to Arkansas in a couple of days to visit Andy's family, and I'll be sure to post about that fun too!
