Saturday night, my Nanny passed on to be with the Lord. Although we all knew it was coming soon because of her condition (see post from 11/10/08), it's still hard. It's hard to believe she's gone. It's hard to know that she won't be here for the holidays. Although we're sad at our loss, we're so happy for her gain! In this time of Thanksgiving, we give thanks and praise to God that she's no longer hurting. We give thanks and praise to God to have had her for as long as we did. We give thanks and praise to God that we have the assurance that we'll see her again.
She was a wonderful woman and will be missed greatly. Not only was she a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family, she was Nanny to everybody that knew her.
