The Nursery Decoration Begins!

My sweet wife has had a really tough time with being extremely tired. We know that's normal and we accept that. However, when we found out we are having a girl, Jen got a huge energy burst and searched for hours for a comforter set for the crib! :) She originally wanted to do a pink and brown room for a little girl...but decided that she might get a little tired of it. She wanted more color options, so when we recieve decorative gifts that are yellow or purple, they'll fit well into the decor of the room. (Yes, she watches most every design show on TLC and HGTV...when she's not sleeping...) We found an adorable comforter set on JCPenney online. We ordered it and got it in today. I know, I know...we still have 4 months...but we needed to get the comforter in so we could get some paint to match so we can paint the room and move in our furniture and start decorating. So, the arrival of the comforter was step one to our design plan. Here are a couple of pictures of the comforter:

There is light pink, dark pink, orange, yellow, purple, and green in the comforter. The koala hands, elephant ears, and hippo ears are detached where the baby can play with them. The sheets are pink with white polka dots. Below is a close up picture.

Jennifer's mom and little brother are coming this weekend to help paint the nursery. And, Jennifer's mom found our furniture! We got a great deal on it...some grandparents in Jennifer's mom's church were selling a crib, changing table, and dresser that was in great shape! We'll post pictures of those once everything is set up in the room.
