Here's an email sent by the couple I mentioned in the previous post....
"We went in for a 32 week ultra-sound Friday hoping to find out for sure if Carson is a boy or girl only to find out she has developed some serious problems. We had a two hour ultra-sound at Dr. Wyatt's office and then Dr. Wyatt sent us directly to Dr. Chadderlain at Baptist who is a specialist. Dr. Chadderlain did a high tech ultra-sound and found multiple problems. Carson has an extremely enlarged chamber in her heart and a missing ventricle which will require surgery. Part of her brain is not as large as it should be. She has not grown much in the last four weeks. My due date is April 1st and she is measuring April 19th. There are several other small things that alone would not be too worrisome but lumping everything else together screams not good. Both Dr. Wyatt and Dr. Chadderlain feel like it could possibly be a chromosome abnormality. Trisomy 21 (Down's) is a possibility but Trisomy 18 was mentioned by both Dr.'s more than anything else. Trisomy 18 is fatal. However, there are several markers that Down's and Trisomy 18 babies usually have that Carson doesn't. So that is what we are focusing on! Dr. Chadderlain performed an amniocentesis Friday and we will have preliminary results sometime Friday. We are scared out of our mind but our faith in God is strong and we feel his presence strongly. We are so thankful to have Sarah Jessica's (their 3 or 4 year old) smiling face to keep us smiling right now. But as the same time we are worried about what she may have to face in the midst of all of this. So please say a special prayer for her!"

I will certainly keep them in my prayers. Such hard news to take. How is Jenn handling the news?
