On Friday we headed to Cave City for Andy's quartet to sing at a 4th of July festival! The trip did not start out so great...we realized as we were about 45 minutes into our trip that Andy grabbed a pair of jeans to wear for the concert that had holes in them, so an unexpected stop at Kohl's in Bryant was then on the agenda. Then we pulled into Chick-Fil-A for some lunch, and I spilled a complete strawberry milkshake in the floorboard of our new 4runner. But, once we got these little mishaps over with, the trip was "smooth sailing"! Madi was an excellent traveler...she slept most of the way there!

The guys did a great job at the concert! They had not sung together in about 3 months because Clint, the baritone singer, was having voice problems. This was their first concert since he had been given the "ok" by the doctors to sing again. You sure couldn't tell they had been out of practice for a while! They did a great job sharing the gospel through song to over 1000 people this weekend.
Madi enjoyed playing on a pallet during the concert. She enjoyed hearing her daddy sing!
This is a sign that Andy wanted to buy to put in his office at school. :)

She was decked out for the festival!

After the concert, the town had an awesome display of fireworks! Madi was asleep at the beginning of them, but the noise quickly woke her up. We didn't know how she would react to them, but she LOVED them!
On Saturday we got up and went with Gran, Gramps, and Uncle Caleb to a small town called Hardy. They had some antique and craft shops in a neat historic downtown setting. It was fun to stroll around and look at all of the neat things!
This is a sign that Andy wanted to buy to put in his office at school. :)We headed home early afternoon, and Madi slept all the way home again. It was a great weekend trip!
